    Cycling

    There has been a bridge here since at least 1783. The current Ballater Bridge, (also known as the Royal Bridge or the Queen's Bridge) was opened it in 1885 by Queen Victoria.
    The bridge carries the B971 (a spur of the B976) over the River Dee and offers good views of the river in both directions.
