From the Irschener Winkel observation tower you have a good view of the bay that has silted up through the Bernauer Ache with extensive reed beds and floating leaf areas (pond and water lilies). The floating leaf zone also offers many fish and countless species of aquatic insects ideal places to hide and live.

The Irschener Winkel is one of the most important breeding, resting and moulting areas for birds on Lake Chiemsee.

In addition to the bird boards, which are located on all viewing platforms, there are also information boards that will bring you closer to the peculiarities of nature and local history. At the Irschener Winkel, "Life on the lake shore" and "How a lake "works"" are explained.
