The Buhl Altarpiece, an important Gothic altarpiece, can be seen in the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Buhl. It is one of the most important works of medieval Rhine painting.

This imposing altarpiece was made for the monastery of St. Catherine nuns of Colmar in the late XV century. If the author is not known for certain, art historians agree that the work comes from the school of the famous painter Martin Schongauer. Some authors have mentioned in particular one of Schongauer's students, Urbain Huter.
