Alpe di Giumello, not far from the Italian-Swiss border, is located in the upper Morobbia Valley. Here there is a stable, a dairy, a cellar and some buildings used as accommodation for those who work there. An alpine pasture produces an exquisite DOP cheese, perfect for a refreshment at the end of the climb, which is very long: from Giubiasco it is in fact more than 18 kilometers at an average 7.5%, with some gravel sections and a final constantly over 11%.

Alpe di Giumello is managed by the Cantonal Agricultural Institute of Mezzana.
The alp is made up of the main courtyard located at 1600 m above sea level. with stable, milking room, dairy, cellar, pigsty and staff accommodation.
In the summer period there are dairy cows, whose processed milk produces approx. 800/1000 wheels of D.O.P. Ticino alpine cheese Non-dairy cattle, heifers, heifers and calves graze the Valletta Alp below
