Water trail in the city forest Wolfsburg

    Lower Saxony

Wolfsburg Water Educational Trail: The fountain and spring hike on the water educational trail in Wolfsburg leads to numerous stations around the water. The entire distance is about 12 km, but can also be shortened. Smaller children cope with the track easily in the buggy or stroller. The path leads to pumps, springs, ponds and wells across the city forest. [from baby age]

The symbol of the dragonfly brings the families on the well and source hike in Wolfsburg on the right path.

The starting point for the fountain and spring hike is the square in front of the VW bath where, in addition to drinking water dispensers and natural stones, an information board also shows the course of the trail. Also useful is the brochure of Stadtwerke Wolfsburg, which operate the water educational trail and every now and then add a new object.

From here, the family turns either in the direction of the "Three Stones" or the fountain to Kaiserstuhl. The lava stone in the form of a throne donates fresh water to the hikers. Idyllic we continue through the Hasselbachtal to Ziehbrunnen and the dragonfly reason.

Further stops on the hike are the rest area at the old carp ponds, the Köhlerbrunnen and the Käfertränke. In between, the view falls to the drinking water high tank in Nordsteimke. With a capacity of 45 million liters, it serves to safeguard the drinking water requirement.

Of course, everyone at the Oldtimer Handschwengel pump wants to try to bring water to light, while on the watermill wheel you may discover salamanders or rare bird species. Information about the objects complements the water trail around the Hasselbach and Rabenberg.
