This mill is still in operation. Here is the border between Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia.

The historical boundary stone at Kollmühle with the number 418 is one of over 960 boundary stones that were erected from 1837 on the border between the kingdoms of Hanover and Prussia. A state treaty had precisely defined the sovereign border. The boundary stones were carved out of sandstone. On the Hanoverian side an "H" and below the year and on the Prussian side a "P" and the consecutive number is carved. The few remaining boundary stones in Rödinghausen are under monument protection.
Apart from small corrections, the state border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony now runs on the old border line.
