The Rumpenheim Main ferry connects Rumpenheim in the south of the Main with Bischofsheim in the north of the Main. There has been a ferry at this point since the 17th century. At that time, Rumpenheim was the only place south of the Main that belonged to the county of Hanau.
The ferry, operated by the Hans Dill ferry company, runs daily all year round. Cyclists pay 80 cents for the crossing (person + bike per trip), and 1 euro with a large cargo bike.
