The Çeşme caravanserai was built in 1528 at the instigation of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent. During the Ottoman period, it was used by foreign traders in particular as accommodation and storage for their goods. Today the building is used as a hotel, among other things. In addition to authentic accommodation, the caravanserai also has nightclubs and the opportunity to buy fine hand-woven carpets and leather clothing.
