An off road section of NCN62 that takes you from Bell's Lane Maghull to the Formby Bypass at Ainsdale. The path starts off quite narrow but soon opens with good views across the fields. You go under two old bridges before getting to a sandy section and the end at Plex Lane. Rideable on a road bike with 25mm Gatorskins (as long as it's dry - don't ask!).
