A Gothic church was built in place of a wooden chapel that burned down in 1329, of which the choir, built around 1329/30 and altered around 1460 under the direction of the Regensburg cathedral master builder Konrad Roritzer, still remains. The tower is the work of the Eichstätt court architect Jakob Engel from 1681/1684. The nave was built as a baroque wall pillar structure from 1774 onwards according to the plans of the Ingolstadt fortress builder Veit Haltmayr and the Munich court mason Leonhard Matthäus Gießl. The pilgrimage church of St. Salvator is a highlight. The votive candle collection is worth seeing and here you will also find one of the oldest votive candles from 1378!
