The paved road to Dante's View, the most breathtaking viewpoint in Death Valley, turns uphill to the west. Up to this turnoff Furnace Creek Wash Road is paved and open to all vehicles less than 25 feet in length and starts east of Furnace Creek on Hwy 190.
