Here the Bocholter Aa flows into the Aasee. A large pedestrian and cycle bridge leads across. From there you have a beautiful view of the lake.
But it also has a negative side. Since the Aa carries a lot of sediment with it and becomes a bit slower here, a lot of sand is deposited behind the bridge, which in turn has to be dredged out regularly. In some places even small islands have formed.
