The Pantà de Can Borrell is an old presasituada in the Collserola mountain range, within the municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallès, in the region of Vallès Occidental. The reservoir covers an area of 0.2 hectares. It has a disused dam that collects the waters of a torrent that flows through the Collserola mountain range. [1]

It was built to supply water to the Can Borrell farmhouse, and is located in the torrent of Les Monelles (also called the Arrabassada), a few hundred meters before where it flows into the Sant Medir stream. [2]

In terms of vegetation, the environment of the marsh is dominated by a Mediterranean oak forest and Mediterranean white pine forest. It should be noted, however, the mixed willow that grows in the tail of the same swamp. The fact of finding a water point in the middle of a forest mass makes the Can Borrell reservoir a space of some importance for all vertebrates as well as for the reproduction of amphibians and aquatic invertebrates. With regard to the factors that negatively influence the space, the presence of prawns should be highlighted. [1]

The Can Borrell reservoir is part of the "Serra de Collserola" PEIN area and the ES5110024 "Serra de Collserola" Natura 2000 site. [1]

Anecdotally, in 2006, a 90-centimeter spectacle alligator was found; an exotic species that must have been released by some individual. [3]
