Heathland, dunes and the Vråby Plantation surround the holiday homes in Østerhede. The heather is particularly beautiful to look at when it begins to bloom in July and a purple blanket spreads over the landscape. The Vråby Plantation is ideal for hiking and walking and the Stagebjerg viewpoint gives walkers a great view of the island and the sea. The other plantations on the island are also worth a visit.
