The route runs between Wildemann and Langelsheim on the former railway embankment. In Ruthe, near Sarstedt, the innermost river flows into the line after 105 kilometers.

Beautiful bike path on the old railway line. The Lautenthal-Wildemann section of the Innerste cycle path leads through beautiful forests. In summer, this section is very refreshing, as there is natural sun protection from the mountains and trees until the early afternoon for the most part.
