The border between the Oberamt Gerabronn and the Oberamt Mergentheim used to be here.
The upper offices were dissolved in 1937 and replaced by new circles.
This was then the district of Mergentheim and Crailsheim.
The cast-iron table is believed to have been erected around 1876.
From this year on, troop panels were also set up in the localities, which were also made of cast iron.
These tablets were manufactured e.g. in the Württemberg ironworks in Wasseralfingen.

Nearby you can see the old, winding course of the Kaiserstrasse in the forest.
The last emperor of the Holy Roman Empire (of the German nation), the Habsburg King Joseph II, drove on the Kaiserstrasse in 1765 to the coronation in Frankfurt.
For his safety, he drove with a large troop from Vienna via Ausgburg to Frankfurt for the coronation.
A picture shows the huge troop that rolled to Frankfurt.
The Kaiser may have given the order to improve Kaiserstrasse.
