To get to the first bridge of the route at km +7.3 (I do not count the bridge over the Prim in Spaichingen) you have to leave the marked hiking route and "fight your way through" through the undergrowth. But it's worth it. The concrete bridge, equipped with three arches, is 52 to 70 m long (depending on the source). The spot on the track bed, in the middle of the bridge, is very romantic and nostalgic. If you stand there and close your eyes, you might still hear the whistling of the last steam engine, which slowly rolled over the bridge on September 23, 1966. The echo of the old Lock's whistles is only heard by honest and good people😉😉
