Replica of the old, long-demolished pumping station, which extracted brine and pumped it to the neighboring Bentlage to supply, among other things, the graduation tower there.

This newly built brine pumping station is located on the Ems Cycle Path between Rheine and Salzbergen. Anyone interested in learning more about the extraction and processing of brine (Rheine Saltworks) can do so at the information board. There's also a simple but tidy (conditions may vary) toilet block here, so you don't have to urinate in public.Ems Cycle Path: emsradweg.de/startseite.html
