The Happurger reservoir is a relatively small reservoir, which you can easily cycle around on a four-kilometer route. The area around the lake is beautiful and so you have during cycling always spectacular views of the water. In the summer you can look for a nice place to rest on the way and refresh yourself in the cool water of the lake, bathing is allowed at the reservoir. Sailing, surfing and stand-up paddling are also popular water sports practiced on the lake.Distributed around the lake you will find nice restaurants and cafes that invite you to stop by. From the large terraces of the restaurants you have a breathtaking view of the lake.

The 1955 created for the purpose of electricity generation reservoir lies in the low mountain landscape of Frankenalb. The area around the lake is designated as a nature reserve. Due to the good water sports, the resort Happurg located directly on the shores of the lake has become a well-known meeting place for surfers and sailors. Furthermore, there are proven Nordic walking trails on site. We recommend the Seeterrassen, a café & restaurant.

Beautiful bike and footpath around the lake, usually quite flat only in place with a strong increase. Refreshments at the parking lot.

Not far away from Lake Touri is the small town Kainsbach with the beautiful inn "Zur Linde". You can eat good bourgeois there or take a break.

The Happurger See (366 m above sea level) is a reservoir, nestled in the Hersbrucker Alb, surrounded by the Houbirg (618 m), the Deckersberg (586 m) and Reicheneck. Created in 1955 for the production of electricity, today the lake is particularly attractive for bathers, sailors, cyclists and hikers. Great way around the lake. Whether Nordic walking, cycling or hiking, the circular route is ideal. Distance about 6 km.
