The Happurger Stausee is a relatively small lake that you can easily cycle around on a four-kilometer-long route. The area around the lake is beautiful and you always have a spectacular view of the water while cycling.
In summer you can look for a nice spot to rest along the way and refresh yourself in the cool water of the lake; swimming is allowed at the reservoir. Sailing, surfing and stand-up paddling are also popular water sports.
Around the lake you will find beautiful restaurants and cafés that invite you to stop off. From the large terraces of the restaurants you have a breathtaking view of the lake.

The Happurger See (366 m above sea level) is a reservoir embedded in the Hersbrucker Alb, surrounded by the Houbirg (618 m), the Deckersberg (586 m) and Reicheneck. Created in 1955 to generate electricity, the reservoir today delights bathers, sailors, cyclists and hikers, especially in summer. Great path around the lake. Whether Nordic walking, cycling or hiking, the circular route is ideal for this. Route length about 4 km. We recommend the lakeside terraces, a café and restaurant.

Beautiful bike and footpath around the lake, usually quite flat only in place with a strong increase. Refreshments at the parking lot.
