Beautiful circular route around the lake. The path through the forest is calm and ideal if you love peace and quiet.
Directly on the lake almost only asphalt and a lot of people. The parking lot is full until noon in the high season. Some places to stop for a break. It's definitely worth it.

From the parking lot on the east bank of the Hintersteiner See at the Café Restaurant Seestüberl, it goes along the north bank, past the Goingstätt snack bar to Pension Maier. Just before Pension Maier, turn left and follow the signs to Seestüberl until you come to the hiking trail on the south bank of the lake. This runs alternately up and down through the forest and brings you back to the starting point on the east bank.
