The Kocher Bridge was first mentioned in 1228. It has only had its current form since 1949, as the old bridge was blown up at the end of the war. In the "Henkershäuschen", redesigned by Eduard Krüger, the artist Berndhard has set up German-speaking machines.

The Hangman's Bridge is one of the most beautiful spots in the old town. On the bridge is the "Hangman's House", with a small exhibition of talking automatons. You can also see the Katharinenvorstadt with the Johanniterhalle (church in the background) and the half-timbered houses on the Kocher.
