After the “old” pier was destroyed by our own soldiers during the war in 1914, Schönberger Strand got its new pier on June 30, 2001 (360°: goo.gl/maps/b5aqFQ13ST32). This time not to prevent the enemy from landing but to make the holiday guests' stay on Schönberger Strand even more pleasant. The new pier in technical details: Length: 260 meters, width: 3 meters, widening in the middle of the bridge: 6 meters, bridgehead: 10 meters long and 12.50 meters wide
The construction of the bridge was carried out by the two companies Stoltenberg AS-Tiefbau and STRABAG Tiefbau. Interesting perspectives of the bridge from the air are available as a film on the video recordings page.
The pier is regularly visited by SFK steamers.
