On my first bike trip to Duluth from the Twin Cities, I found myself spending a whole lot of time on Forest Boulevard, a two-lane, 55 MPH road with sometimes questionable shoulders. This was the first sheltered location I could stop and take a break at since North Branch. It has sheltered picnic tables, a permanent chemical toilet, and a water fountain shaped like a roaring lion.
