Overburden dump from coal mining with great views of the area.St. Barbara - patron saint of miners. The statue, created by Lothar Messmer, was erected in 1955 on the site of the former St. Barbara mine and the former St. Barbara power station. When construction work on the new Bexbach power plant began, the statue was moved to its current location, the Berghalde, in 1980.

From up there you have a wonderful view. The statue of St. Barbara deserves a little more care. The wreath that was laid down is totally dried up and the stand on which it once hung was misused as a swivel mount.
