St. Barbara - patron saint of miners. The statue, created by Lothar Messmer, was erected in 1955 on the site of the former St. Barbara mine and the former St. Barbara power station. When construction work on the new Bexbach power plant began, the statue was moved to its current location, the Berghalde, in 1980.
