Lichtenhain is located in the municipality of Boitzenburger Land in the Uckermark. The von Arnim family had today's Lichtenhain house built in 1880. After the Second World War, the family were expropriated and expelled. After the political change, Michael Graf von Armin and Daisy Countess von Arnim moved into the Lichtenhain house in 1995 and were able to buy it back in 1997.
