Hiking
Beautiful beach only 10 minutes by bike from Workum. Very popular with kite surfers in strong winds; Well suited for children in less wind, as it is very flat. In the immediate vicinity there is space to watch birds. Don't forget binoculars! Refreshments in the beach pavilion on the canal with a view of the incoming and outgoing boats. A nice pastime.
