In the village of Koszwały you can admire a beautifully preserved arcade house from 1792. Arcade houses are large buildings with beautifully decorated fronts in half-timbered construction. Its characteristic and name-giving feature is the arcade, an extended first floor facing the street front, which is supported by wooden pillars. The arcade was mostly used as a storage room. Horse-drawn carts loaded with wheat sacks, for example, could pass under it and stop in the dry, while the sacks were loaded into the arcade with the help of a crane and through a hole in the floor.
