The nature reserve is characterized by striking rock formations, fallen boulders, and trees.
The Bodenbach Gorge is one of the wildest and most pristine ravines in the Swabian Forest.
The starting point of the hike through the Bodenbach Gorge is northeast of Vorderbüchelberg at the Seewiese hiking car park. The entrance is via a forest path (red bar) west of the crossroads, from which other paved forest and hiking trails branch off.
