    The place was probably first mentioned in 1205. In 2012, 33 residents lived in the hamlet.

    On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Görsdorf and Truckendorf were incorporated.

    During the time of German division, the place was shaped by the measures taken by the GDR authorities to guard the inner-German border. In 1976, the village's appearance was greatly changed by the demolition of a large number of abandoned farms. The remnants of this time are the natural remains of the former border strip.
