    In Niederoesbern it goes over the Loconer Weg in a westerly direction to Oberoesbern. If you like, you can first turn left at Haböcken and visit St. Aloysius Church and watch the Mexican who takes his siesta at Elektro Hormann. Up the Haböcken to the elevated reservoir is certainly a bit strenuous because of the incline, but when you get to the top, the view that extends over the Ruhr valley in Wickede to the Hamm power station makes up for it. Before you enjoy the long descent along the glider airfield, you should turn briefly into the Rohaus street and enjoy the view over the western Ruhr valley from Hof Lürbke, in good weather you can see the Dortmund television tower in the distance.

    From the elevated reservoir all the way down to the main road, it's 3.2 km downhill, sometimes at a rapid pace, before you can then follow the Zabel route in the fields in Barge.
