The so-called “Rotunde” was a viewing pavilion that was built around 1800.
Unfortunately, this building is no longer present and had to be dismantled in 1884.
Access was from the nearby Flower Basket Rock through an underground connecting passage carved into the rock. It ended in a spiral staircase and led up to the viewing platform.
