"Unique, huge, and rightly so for many decades one of the most popular attractions in Salzburg ..."

The homepage does not exaggerate with this description. Already the alpine mountain tour up to the cave is an experience - hiking boots are urgently needed! If you prefer a less sweaty and comfortable ride, take the cable car - which, as one of the steepest cable cars in Austria, certainly also offers a special experience. The mountain tour on the other hand offers fantastic views - especially on the Steinerne Meer.

The cave itself ... for me simply indescribably beautiful and fascinating! It is a listed building and may only be entered by authorized guides. As it is not lit, visitors to the cave entrance will be provided with pit lights by the guide. The sculptures themselves are then illuminated very impressively by this with magnesium light. In the cave there is unfortunately a ban on photography ...

In the cave, a jacket should be worn, since the lead takes quite a long time and it is relatively cool. Gloves are an advantage because the banister is very cold, and in some places even covered in ice. Or you just do not hold on tight ;-)
So, do not forget warm clothes!
