With the blessing of the bridge saint Nepomuk, a stone structure has been crossing the Doubs near St-Ursanne since 1728.
Apparently, up until the 17th century, the wooden footbridge in St-Ursanne had to be rebuilt after every flood before the stone bridge was built. The four-arched bridge is now a cultural asset of national importance and is protected accordingly.

Saint-Ursanne, after Delémont and Porrentruy, is the third historic town in the canton of Jura 🇨🇭. It seduces with its medieval and picturesque appearance, thanks to its three magnificent gates (Saint-Paul to the west, Saint-Pierre to the east and Saint-Jean to the south) as well as its bridge over the Doubs.
Not to be missed! 😃

Beautiful old town - always busy, but still worth a stop.
