Founded in 1854 as the London Necropolis, Brookwood remains the largest cemetery in the UK. Historically the dead and their mourners were brought here on dedicated trains but the service stopped running in the 1930s in 1941. Edward the Martyr was reburied here and it also the resting place of Jamsetji Tata and Dame Zaha Hadid (in the large Muslim section of the cemetery). Open 0800-1700 no cycling.
