It remains a beautiful (romantic) estate park to walk through, the information boards provide nice information. You can even listen to a piece from the book 'Grandmama we can chat', about the sleepovers with grandma on the estate. Broekhuizen Castle is a knight's court town, country house and estate in Leersum, municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug in the Dutch province of Utrecht. In its current form it dates from 1810. After a major fire in 1906, the castle was rebuilt as much as possible in the old style.
