In 2010, a large landslide affected the Corniolo area. The enormous mass of rock and earth that detached from the mountain caused the damming of the Bidente river and led to the formation of the lake of the same name. A house and numerous submerged trees emerging from the water create an evocative, surreal and almost spooky environment.
