The town, founded by Walter von Eschenbach in 1279, is a trapezoidal structure that was secured with walls and moat on three sides, while the fourth side is protected by the Aare. The ditch can still be read along the top row of houses.
Very nice corner of Interlaken, it is not so stressful here.
