Catholic Church. But I don't think there will be any more services.

The church of St. Nikolai der Talstadt is the former parish church of the Neustadt. The choir of the church was built around 1240, the north aisle and the nave wall have been preserved from the second half of the 13th century. It was converted into a hall church in the 15th century, only the south aisle was completed. On the south side the viewer sees flattering Gothic and on the north side only simple, plain Gothic. Only one tower sits on a mighty tower substructure, a planned west tower was never started. The flood markings on the outside of the tower are interesting for visitors. They provide information about the flooding of the Saale, which repeated its old meander over centuries. The late Gothic baptismal font and the woodcut figure of John the Baptist also date from the 15th century. The interior was extensively repaired from 1966 - 68. The church is owned by the Catholic parish of St. John the Baptist.
