Herten Castle and Park

Herten Castle is a moated castle on the edge of downtown Herten in the district of Recklinghausen. It is located in an old English landscaped garden.

Herten Castle Chapel is a chapel in the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Herten. It stands on the front part of the Herten Castle and belongs to it.
The chapel originally did not belong to Herten Castle, but was the castle chapel of Grimberg Castle in Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck, where it was dismantled in 1908 and then relocated to Herten. So although it is not part of the original substance of the Herten Castle, the small church building is still a listed building together with the palace complex.
