Starting point of the path that leads to the hermitage of Camaldoli, one of the most beautiful segments of the Alta Via dei Parchi! Definitely deserves to be visited for the millenary forest in which it is immersed.

Located at 1296 m a.s.l. La Calla is the highest road crossing in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.
Located between the provinces of Forlì Cesena and Arezzo, it was only opened in the 1930s, before then in fact the only passes in this area consisted of mule tracks and forest roads for the transport of timber that was transported from the forests to Casentino and therefore ' streamed towards Florence.August 31, 2020
