If you have enough of the Jagsttal and would like to translate into the middle Kochertal (Forchtenberg), this route is the right choice. Starting from the beer garden "Ochsen" in Westernhausen you follow the cycle path to the crossroads (direction Kloster Schöntal) but turn left into the street Linde. Follow this path up the hill and keep right at the cemetery. Westernhausen is now behind you and there is a steady increase. The barbecue area loads after about half of the increase to stay.
Always uphill and straight - do not turn off to Halsberg! - it goes up the hill, past two small fishing lakes. At the bend in the forest keep right until the crossroads.
WATCH OUT!!! Road traffic with fast arriving vehicles. In summer, the route is popular with motorcyclists.
From here you can turn right to the pilgrimage church Neusaß or left to Forchtenberg. After a few meters turn right to Muthof. From here always follow the signs of the cycle path. The descent to Forchtenberg is very steep and should only be negotiated with good brakes, as some narrow turns emerge and locals use the road by car.
In Forchtenberg arrived (butcher Schäfer) it goes right direction Ernsbach and Ohrnberg the cooker down or left to Forchtenberg and the cooker upwards.

´This is really an alternative to change the river valleys. Moderate incline, but it is a bit dragging. Definitely a good and not too strenuous opportunity in summer.
