Nice long climb with a few steep sections. At the top it opens up to stunning views and a fantastic descent.
A word of warning though don't start out too hard as it's longer and steeper than it looks. However perfectly doable for most cyclists and worth it for the satisfaction and views at the top.

It’s considered as the gateway to the South Wales Valleys, where towns and villages appeared as industrialists discovered the reserves of iron and coal under the green and undulating landscapes. At 4.1km in length, with an average gradient of 8.5% there’s no surprise that it’s a favourite amongst local riders, and featured as a summit finish in the 2014 Tour of Britain.

Brutal. Don't over cook it at the bottom, it keeps going! Pacing is key. Some worthwhile views at the top making it worth it. An absolute must for any cyclist!

A busy road to climb on; recommended early morning. The gravel ascent was beautiful, less steep, and quiet, but did require some navigation of gates so not one for speed!

Nice climb, goes on for longer than you think once you get out in the open so save some energy!

A long tough climb that needs good fueling and hydration. Can be misleading as 'flattens' and then climbs again. But there is usually an ice cream van at the top!
