Ten Mile Grade trail climbs very gradually on a former lumber train path from Westgate Picnic area to Chowchilla Mountain with great valley views. Note that an a**hole private landowner fenced off public TenMileGrade forest road through his land, forcing you to climb gates to get out. You can avoid the Yosemite Mountain Farm by descending Miami Creek forest road and climbing back up to Ten Miles Grade on the other Side of the creek.
