In 1272 the castle was mentioned as a castle. It was rebuilt in Renaissance style in 1554 after a fire. In the 19th century, the surrounding moats were filled in, as was the Elbe straightened, which vorbefloß directly at the castle.

A bit of a lost place, but perhaps alive... The castle was acquired by three siblings from Mexico to serve as an arts center and resort. Well, there was a fire bowl in the courtyard, as if a celebration had recently taken place here and I also saw a flyer - maybe an insider tip.... ;-)

Unfortunately, it is dilapidated and cannot be visited due to the danger of collapse...
