Some paths lead to the moor. The protected high moor of Leckermoos at 860 m above sea level can be reached on easy routes. On the moor path, visitors get to know the fascinating ecosystem. It is an important biotope for rare animal and plant species.
Interesting life unfolds in the high moor of Leckermoos in Göstling an der Ybbs: highly endangered butterfly species and protected dragonflies live here. Nordic plants such as the sundew find optimal conditions. The mystical landscape is characterized by dark mountain pines and reddish-brown peat moss.
