Rockfalls are falling from the summit, the path is completely destroyed and unusable. We had to call a helicopter for an air evacuation.
Unfortunately, there were no signs on site indicating the route's closure. It was only after the emergency services arrived that we learned that the via ferrata had been closed for over three weeks by the Italian Alpine Club due to the danger.
This outing could have been fatal. This information must be shared to avoid a tragedy.
