Mountain Biking Highlight
The striking and partially wooded Hörselberge are part of the framing of the Thuringian Basin and limit the southwest of the actual Thuringian Basin subsequent basin landscape of the West Thuringian mountain and hill country south. They extend in east-southeast direction about 5 to 11 km (as the crow flies) east-southeast of Eisenach in the territory of the communities Hörselberg-Hainich (in the east and north) and Wutha-Farnroda (in the west).

The Hörselsberg is always worth a trip and makes up for it with a grandiose view of the Thuringian Forest, and in summer there is always delicious bratwurst and grilled roast. It is also brilliant when you walk the ridge path from Sättelstädt to Wutha Farnroda via the Venus cave with many great viewpoints of the Thuringian Forest
