"The Ballendorf post mill was built in 1684. 150 years later, in 1834, it was overturned by a thunderstorm and rebuilt in 1835. The mill was powered by wind power until 1953 and then electrically operated until 1973. The mill is still installed today Originally preserved and fully functional.
