The Pedra do Sal Environmental Interpretation Centre is a space dedicated to promoting the values of Natural Heritage and its relevance in the development of the place, since the beginning, even before human existence. With a privileged location in São Pedro do Estoril, the building was designed as a showcase facing the coastline and the sea. Hiking

The small Cape Pedra do Sal (Portuguese for: salt stone) is designated as a national biosphere protection zone. With the Centro de Interpretação Ambiental da Pedra do Sal (CIAPS), a museum and visitor center has been set up, in which event rooms, exhibition halls and restaurants are also set up for the diverse activities of the center. On the eastern steep slope of the cliff, two Neolithic - Copper Age dome tombs were discovered and excavated in 1944.
