This historic site tells the poignant story of Percy M. Yeatman during World War I. An information board commemorates the night of August 25-26, 1917, when seven British Handley Page O/100 bombers flew over this area and came under fire. The 20-year-old Aircraftsman Percy M. Yeatman lost his life in the crash, just a few meters from this location. The remaining crew members were taken prisoner of war.
Yeatman eventually found his final resting place at the Commonwealth cemetery 'Cement House' in Langemark, north of Ypres.
